The images below are Part 1 of a small series of gouache paintings I do as a response to travel or environments. The idea is that I take in the essential 'energy' and later paint a referential response.
You will note that any in the series do not contain any true recognizable elements such as plants, landscape, elements or otherwise, yet they invoke a sensation of the scene, place and emotional feeling. In some of the paintings the sense of this is stronger than others.
